Nonlinear elliptic equations, reaction-diffusion systems, and mathematical biology; pattern formation of open chemical systems, and self-organization of the microtubule cytoskeleton in cells; Turing patterns in the chlorite-iodide-malonic acid (CIMA) reaction; study of intracellular morphogenesis such as self-organization of microtubules, and mitotic spindles.
